:: Portraits ::
Last Updated: 7/30/2012 11:02:33 PM
Over the years portrait photography has become an obsession, one that goes beyond getting an envisioned shot. The people you get to meet, conversations you have, and the creative process that goes into getting the photo makes it a full package that I love. For me, in retrospect each photo is a memento of the experience with the amazing people I've had the honor of meeting, working with, and getting to know over the years. This is a collection of my favorite portraits; illustrative, conceptual, and others just moments. I hope you enjoy the photos and the stories.

When the opportunity to join Dave Graham, Nalle Hukkataival and Ian Dory in Southern Australia for a climbing first ascent mission I knew I couldn't miss out. Dave is a fanatic for bouldering and exploration. He has an eye for prime climbing lines, this coupled with the phenomenal rock of Australia's Grampian's National Park was guaranteed to be an unforgettable expedition. Inside this photo essay is the action, the fun, and the beauty of our September 2011 trip.

If you like rock climbing then click here because this gallery is dedicated to that and that alone. It's unorganized and all across the board mayhem from around the world. Photos of pro's, bro's, lurkers and maybe a story or two thrown in the mix. I love shooting climbing, it's taken me to places I know I never would have gone otherwise and introduced me to some of the greatest people I've ever known. I will update regularly. Enjoy.

:: The Still Life ::

Scenic photography. It was the first aspect of photography that I poured my time and self into. Anymore it makes up a small piece in my library of images, but holds a large influence on my style of shooting. Hunting for composition, waiting for light, weathering out a storm or sitting in still darkness, patience is a pre-requisite in this genre. It was an obsession for me for years. Looking back, the initial spark was nothing more then a combination of living in Colorado and boredom.

:: [ 5 ] Days in Kalymnos ::
Last Updated: 11/23/2011 12:10:08 AM
In March of 2011 an opportunity landed in my lap by the good people at Aurora Select to travel to the island of Kalymnos in Greece. The assigned story was to join forces with writer Alex Lowether on a profile piece for Hemisphere Magazine on Alex Honnold. Having known both Alex's for a number of years I was stoked to be teaming up with both friends to work on a story together, and in such an amazing location. Arriving there seemed to take longer then the trip itself, but worth every grueling second. Kalymnos was one of the many great high lights for me in 2011, here's the shots.
